Article Type

You have the option of selecting the type of article you want written. The options are: Blog Post, Amazon Product Roundup, Amazon Single Product Review, YouTube Video to Blog Post or Rewrite Blog Post. 

Select Your Preferred Article Length 

You can select how many sections and words you’d like in your article. This is a useful feature as you may want a shortform or longform article depending on where you’ll be publishing your article. 

Sites you want to guest post for often have their own word count preference. This feature saves you time from either needing to manually generate more paragraphs or spending extra time trying to reduce the length of an article. 

Tone of Voice

I love how you can tailor the tone of voice of the article to suit your brand voice. The options are: 
SEO Optimized (which is the one I usually choose), Excited, Professional, Friendly, Formal, Casual, Humorous and Custom. 

Language and Point of View 

You can select from 4 styles of English: US, UK, Canada and Australia (this is cool as I have a blog targeted at Sydneysiders and I like to write those articles in Australian English).

There is also a very comprehensive list of languages you can select from including Chinese, Danish, Hindi, Japanese, Maori, Portuguese Brazil or Portugal, and Spanish. 

2. Real-Time Search Results

One of the most impressive features of KoalaWriter is its ability to provide real-time search results. 

There are three filtering options available with Real-Time Source Filtering:

• Default: This option uses all of the top-ranking pages in the SERP
• Scholarly: This option only uses sources available on Google Scholar
• Custom: This option allows you to put in your own search operators
  (The custom option lets you use DA (Domain Authority), site, and filetype search operators to influence which sites are used as a source)

3. Outline Editor 

This is a great feature as it allows you to easily add, delete, and reorder H2s and H3s, giving you full control over your content’s outline. Or if you don’t like the outline generated, you can click ‘Cancel’ and try again. Your credits will not be used in this instance. 

This ensures you’re not wasting your plan’s monthly word allowance on generating a complete article that isn’t what you wanted, and therefore won’t be used. 

4. Automatically Includes AI Images and YouTube Videos into your Blog Post

Adding images to your blog post is usually required, as you don’t want your readers to just see a wall of text. But it can also be very time-consuming to either source images from stock image libraries or to create your own in Canva for example. 

KoalaWriter takes away that headache as you can set an image style, image size, and specify the maximum number of images and YouTube videos you’d like to include in your blog post and KoalaWriter will automatically generate some AI images and embed relevant YouTube videos into your blog post.

Create AI Images in KoalaChat

You can also create images in KoalaChat. 

I used the following prompt to generate the following image styles of a koala typing on a laptop computer.

/dream *style 3:2 koala typing on a laptop computer
(where *style is the type of image I wanted to generate. These were: Illustration, Photo, Watercolor, Fantasy, Anime, 3D Rendering and Isometric).

Commercial Usage Rights to the AI Images Generated

5. Amazon Product Roundup and Single Product Reviews 

If you’re an Amazon Associate, you’ll love the Amazon Product Roundup and Single Product Review features as it makes creating these articles a breeze. You can see some examples here. 

If you want to generate a product roundup article, select the Amazon Product Roundup option from the Article Type field dropdown. By default, the article generated will include an introduction, the number of products you nominate, and a buying guide. 

You can also specify which Amazon country’s store you want to add products from for example Amazon.com or Amazon.com.au. 

You can also specify if you want to ‘Enable First-Hand Experience’ style of writing, so that the article is written from the angle of the witer having first-hand experience with using the products. 

You can also add in the Amazon Search URL so that KoalaWriter uses the product search results of that URL to find your products. This will be in the format of  https://amazon.com/s?k=candy. 

Then finally add in your Amazon Tracking ID so that the affiliate commissions go to your account. 

If you want to write up a review of a single Amazon product only, then you type in the specific product’s URL into the ‘Amazon Product URL’ field, and the target keyword or topic you want to rank for in the ‘Target Keyword’ field. 

Again, you can select ‘Enable First-Hand Experience’ mode, and you can also select ‘Enable Condensed Mode’ if you like for a shorter article. 

6. Bulk Mode

You can put KoalaWriter to work on autopilot, and have it generate a whole lot of articles for you in the background, while you get on with other important tasks such as pitching to new clients, digital marketing, updating your social accounts etc. 

You type in an ‘unlimited’ number of keywords into the Target Keyword field, one keyword/phrase per line. You can also have KoalaWriter automatically add these articles into your site’s WordPress dashboard, by selecting your WordPress account in the ‘Integrated Account’ field. You can check on KoalaWriter’s progress by going to the ‘Article Queue’. 

If you run out of credits, the process will be paused until your credits reset or you upgrade your subscription plan. 

7. KoalaChat

The KoalaChat feature is powered by Claude and GPT-3.5 Turbo. You can also select the Real-Time Data option.

The commands I particularly like using are: 

1. /dream  to generate an AI stock image of your keyword prompt
2. /entities  returns a list of keywords, entities, and subtopics for the URL you entered
3. /kw  gives you a list of keywords from Google autocomplete for the keyword/phrase you entered

You can use KoalaChat like other Chat apps such as ChatGPT. I’ll often enter my prompts into both and then pick and choose the bits of content I like from each one and then go from there. 

Other Notes

AI-Powered Language Models

KoalaWriter supports both OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 language models. “GPT-4 is always used to create outlines and other important pieces for all articles to keep quality high.”

KoalaChat currently supports Claude and GPT-3.5. GPT-4 Turbo will be added soon. The word count usage multiplier is expected to be reduced to only 2-3x when using GPT-4 Turbo, compared to using GPT-4 which uses 5x increase in word count usage (Source: KoalaWriter Black Friday Sale page).
